Trelleborg Sealing Solutions offers composite bearings and thermoplastic bearings for a wide range of applications. Bearings are incorporated into the application to allow limited relative movement between two or more parts. They are mechanical devices that support another part and/or reduce friction. Turcite-B SlidwayTurcite®-B Slidway® is a low friction linear C bearing strip for use primarily on raceways and edges of machine tools. Provides low friction, slip free operation, long life and minimal wear. TurciteR®-B Slidvai® is applied using a two component epoxy resin after thorough cleaning and degreasing of the bare metal surface. Turcite®-B Slidway® is dimensionally stable, requires no maintenance, and can be used with or without lubrication. Trelleborg's range of bearing materials includes Turcite® and HiMod® engineering thermoplastic bearings and Orkot® synthetic composite bearings. Orkot Marine and Hydro composite bearings are Orkot, which consists of technical fabrics impregnated with thermoreactive resins, evenly dispersed solid lubricants and other additives. Orcot bearings offer significant advantages over traditional metal bearings. All are dimensionally stable, have excellent wear resistance and excellent low friction characteristics, giving them unmatched performance in dry or marginally lubricated conditions. Virtually non-swelling in seawater, they are ideal for marine and hydropower applications.
