PCD is used in three major areas are:              

  • Cutting non-ferrous metals and alloys (particularly Si Al in the automotive industry)       
  • Cutting wood particle board (particularly medium density fiberboard - MDF, and chipboard in the furniture industry)     
  • Non-cutting applications such as wear-parts
