Bharat Coach Builders is one of India’s premier bus coach manufacturing companies. It is based in Mumbai with over 35 years of experience in the manufacturing of quality, Luxury Coaches, Double - Decker buses, School buses, Special Purpose Vehicles and Ambulances. Bharat Coach is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and believes in continually improving and updating its processes and systems. Our facility is accredited by the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT, Govt. of India) and are buses are also Type Approved by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) under the recently introduced bus body code AIS-052.
Bharat Coach Builders has all the necessary infrastructure to produce high quality buses such as welding stations, Press Brake, shear machines, phosphating system, an advanced positive pressure paint booth, fibreglass production, water ingress test setup, in house CAD and other allied equipment. We have an installed capacity of 700 buses per annum with further scope of expansion as and when the need arises. We have a strong product development team which has been instrumental in the development of buses for various private organizations, state run corporations and government organizations.
We are proud to announce that we have won the Best Bus Coach Builder Award for Quality by Ashok Leyland Ltd one of the leading multinational automobile manufacturer in the country for two consecutive years. Quality and reliability of Bharat Coach buses are currently well known not just in India but also across the world. We are currently manufacturing buses for the multinational OEM Ashok Leyland Ltd for all their export markets which include the UAE, Bahrain, Muscat, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Nigeria, Mozambique, Sudan, Chad, and recently South America under the brand of Ashok Leyland
Modern computer aided manufacturing is now undertaken at Bharat Coach Builders Pvt Ltd, using NX Unigraphics for 3D modelling and AutoCAD for 2D modelling of all buses and parts. Shop floor level drawings are then made from these models for manufacturing the buses and Quality Control and Quality Assurance Departments verify whether the buses manufactured are as per specification and drawings.
For complicated parts, prototypes are designed in 3D CAD and using rapid prototyping techniques, physical 3D models are printed.
