Product Description:
Liners are made from graded cast iron with medium phosphorus and prelatic with perfect micro structure employing centrifugal / Gravity or shell mould casting process depending on type of liner.
Type Of Liners
Wet Liner : These liners are used in Water cooled engines of different types, designs recommended by the O.E. They are made of cast iron alloy with centrifugal process machined to close tolerances.
Dry Liner (Sleeves) : These sleeves are made from high graded cast iron or Semi-Finished and are Fully-Finished with or without collars. These are used in water cooled engines where water is not in contact with the Liner.Cylinder Liners – Sleeves, made of grey cast-iron, ought to have desired casting and machining qualities, viz. strength, toughness, hardness and wear resistance. These are mainly of two types – Dry liner-sleeves and Wet liner-sleeves.
The liners-sleeves are ‘cast-in fit’, force (press) fit or slip fit. The interference between its outer diameter and bore-hole walls depends on fit-type from 0.050 to 0.075 mm. These are available in wide range suitable for light, medium and heavy duty application.
