'VIJAY' Water Ring Vacuum Pump WRD Series are assembled with high precision and close tolerances.
Construction includes of 2 Casings ( Main & Second ), Side Covers and Control Discs with Dynamically balanced Impeller. Impeller’s blades are curved at a specific angle for maximum efficiency. The Two impellers are on fitted on shaft which is separated by Centre Plate which rotates eccentrically on bearings at both ends. The pump is coupled driven by Foot-Mounted Motor on common M.S Base-Frame.
Material of the pump and its components are selected according to the application.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION :-
It works on the same principle of ‘VIJAY’ Water Ring Vacuum Pump WRV Series.
The Pump consists of two stages.
The rapid motion of the impeller forms a ring of water or any other liquid into the pump.
The Impeller being eccentrically fitted in the Main casing, it creates a working space between the inner surface of the ring and the hub of the Impeller. Air or gases are drawn into this space through the suction pipe and the opening in the control disc. The gases are then compressed through the exhaust end.
Almost all the heat generated due to compression is absorbed by the ring-water. The excess of water is then thrown out along with the air or gases. Therefore the water needs to be supplied continuously. A small quantity of water is supplied at the glands for cooling and smooth running.
