:The history of MAN Truck and Bus in India began in 1958 with the supply of the famous Shaktiman trucks to the Indian Ministry of Defence. However, MAN Trucks India started operations in India in 2006 as a joint venture. Finally, with the acquisition of the joint venture, MAN Trucks India Pvt Ltd became a wholly owned subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG in 2012. Man Trucks India Pvt Ltd started operations in India in 2006 as a joint venture. In 2012, with the acquisition of the joint venture, MAN Trucks India Private Limited became a wholly owned subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG. MAN Trucks India manufactures heavy-duty MAN CLA trucks for the Indian market and exports to Asian, African and CIS countries.
